The war in Ukraine has been ongoing for over 4 years. Israel’s attack on Gaza is still intensifying with no end in sight. Even Iraq is still at war. And the US is involved in all.

“What ends war is not violence but nonviolence. Nonviolence overcomes violence. We need the power of nonviolence. The trust will be nourished by spiritual teachings. You may not feel that you are powerful, but each one of us has the power to nurture life. Like parents nurturing children, like birds raising babies. The first precept of Buddhism is Ahimsa, No killing, no harming life. People’s practice of Ahimsa makes it possible to create Peace Pagodas.”

Please join us for potluck community meal following the ceremony. Please bring your favorite foods. It may be cold so please bring warm clothes and a blanket. Please arrive before 11:00 to allow time to park and walk to the ceremony site.
